SOMATIC GROUP WORK
Befriending Your Nervous System
Understanding the Wisdom of Your Body
Monday SeptEMBER 7 TH - October 12 TH
6.30 PM - 8.30 PM, In PERSON
You understand your patterns. Yet your body still returns to what it knows.
You become anxious, withdraw, adapt to others or keep going beyond your limits. You may recognise what happened only later, when you are exhausted, disconnected or aware that a boundary was crossed.
This does not mean you have failed to understand yourself. These are protective responses your nervous system learned for a reason.
This six week group will help you recognise those responses earlier, understand what they are communicating and create more room for choice in your life and relationships.

This Group is for you iF
You understand your patterns intellectually, but your body still reacts in familiar ways.
You feel persistently tired, depleted or without motivation, despite the care and effort you have already put into feeling better.
You feel anxious, alert or restless, or move in the other direction towards numbness, withdrawal or disconnection.
You say yes before noticing that something in you means no.
You adapt to others and lose touch with what you feel or need.
You recognise a boundary only after it has been crossed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions? Take a look at the FAQ, reach out anytime, or register for the course.
I will then invite you to a short introductory call before confirming your place.
-
The call gives you an opportunity to tell me what brings you to the group, ask questions and explore whether it feels like the right form of support for you.
The call is free and there is no obligation to join afterwards.
-
Many protective patterns developed in relationships and become most visible around other people.
A carefully facilitated group allows you to notice these responses as they arise, while practising connection, boundaries and choice. Being witnessed can also reduce isolation and help you discover possibilities you may not encounter alone.
-
No. Everything will be introduced and guided, so you can join without any previous experience of somatic work.
-
No. You decide what and how much you want to share.
You may speak, listen, participate in an exercise or pass. You will not be required to disclose or explain your personal history.
-
No. You will not be asked to retell or relive traumatic experiences.
We focus primarily on present moment sensations, emotions, impulses, needs and choices.
-
No facilitator can guarantee that every moment will feel comfortable. My responsibility is to provide a clear and responsive structure that supports your choices, pace and boundaries.
The group works with clear time boundaries and shared agreements around confidentiality, reflective listening and respectful attention.
You may participate or pass, move or remain still, share or keep your experience private.
-
All participants agree not to share another person’s experiences or identifying information outside the group.
You may speak about your own experience, provided that you do not identify or disclose information about anyone else.
-
No facilitated touch is planned.
Some exercises may involve movement, orientation, voice or noticing your relationship to space and other people. You choose whether and how you participate.
-
You may pause, move, remain quiet.
I will support you within the scope of the group, but the course cannot provide crisis intervention or ongoing individual care.
-
No. This is an educational and experiential group.
It does not replace psychotherapy, medical care or crisis support.
-
Possibly. The group may complement individual therapeutic work, but it does not replace it.
The introductory call will help us consider whether the group is appropriate for you at this time.
-
The group is not designed to provide crisis support or intensive individual stabilisation.
If you are experiencing an acute mental health crisis or require a higher level of individual care, this may not be the appropriate form of support at this time.
-
The €350 fee includes all six group meetings, one individual online check in of 45 minutes, and additional content and resources to accompany you between sessions.
-
Yes. Payment in installments is possible.
A limited number of solidarity places are also available. You are welcome to speak to me about this during the introductory call.
-
I will share relevant material to help you stay connected and up to date.
The group is designed as a continuous six week process, so attending all meetings where possible will support both your experience and the continuity of the group.
-
Registration is for the complete series and the fee is non refundable.
Because the group is small and intimate, a late cancellation affects the whole group and the possibility of offering your place to someone else.
Depending on your circumstances, you may ask to move your place to a future group up to two weeks before the course begins.
-
The course takes place at Wiener Straße 18, 10999 Berlin.
All meetings are facilitated in English.
-
Please contact me before registering so that we can discuss the space and what may support your participation.
